HOW IT ALL STARTED
My name is Amna, and like many other students, I once dreamt of becoming a dermatologist through MBBS. I gave the MDCAT on 22nd September 2024, but the result was cancelled due to faulty answer keys. It was reconducted on 30th December 2024, which I passed — but unfortunately, I still wasn’t able to secure a seat in a government medical college.
WHEN DREAMS DON’T GO AS PLANNED
This completely broke me. After a lot of crying, stress, self-doubt, and overthinking, I finally applied for BS Dermatology at UOL and UMT, along with other fields in different universities (just in case). Now I am a student of BS Dermatology Technology and I will be taking you guys, especially fellow pre-medical students, along with me on this journey.
WHY I AM STARTING THIS BLOG
BS Dermatology isn’t a very common path, and that’s exactly why I want to document this journey — raw, honest, and hopefully beautiful. If you’re a pre-medical student, I hope this blog makes you feel seen.I know many of us worked hard for that MBBS seat, but not getting it doesn’t mean we aren’t good enough. It just means our paths are going to look different — and that’s okay.
WHAT YOU WILL FIND HERE
This blog is a safe space for me, and hopefully, for you as well. I’ll be sharing my entire journey here:
• 📝 the admission process
•💭struggles
• 🏠 hostel life
• 📚classes
• 🌟opportunities
• 🍀motivation for all the students who once dreamt of MBBS but couldn’t make it.
A MESSAGE FOR YOU
If you’ve gone through the same feelings — rejection, feeling stuck, and endless overthinking — please share your story with me. I’d love to build a little community here where we support each other.
